About TBGC

Welcome to Tampa Bay Gymnastics Center! At TBGC, we’re here to help students achieve their goals in a fun, safe environment as well as being a partner in the local community. The staff is dedicated to providing the best support possible to each student in the pursuit of their dreams. Through gymnastics, we teach students to set goals and to develop both the physical fitness and the confidence needed to achieve those goals.

Safety

Safety is our top priority at TBGC, so no one is permitted to be in the training area or on the equipment without being accompanied by, or with the permission of, one of the instructors. Please help us maintain a safe environment by following these guidelines for both children and adults. If you need to speak with an instructor, please do so before/after class or make an appointment. For the safety and respect of all our students, we want them to have the full, undivided attention of their instructors during their class times.

Philosophy

At TBGC, we teach progressive gymnastics. What does that mean? We start with basic skills. Once a student develops the strength, flexibility, and confidence to master these skills, we introduce new ones that are slightly more challenging. In gymnastics, most skills are built upon each other. This makes it important for long-term development to reach a level of mastery of a skill before moving on to a more difficult one.

Coaches

Providing a fun and safe environment is one of our top priorities at TBGC. Each instructor receives training either from USA Gymnastics directly or from a qualified instructor who has been trained under USA Gymnastics guidelines. Instructors also complete a USA Gymnastics Safety Certification course and must pass a background check.

Gym Attire

Students should be dressed in comfortable clothing that allows freedom of movement. Long hair should be tied back away from the face. Please do not bring jewelry (including watches), belts, or gum to class. In most classes the participants do not wear shoes or socks.

Tuition

Tuition is due upon enrollment. For students joining a class mid-session, tuition will be prorated. To ensure a student’s place in class, please make all payment arrangements at the beginning of each session. We will do our best to accommodate preferred class days and times, but we maintain an appropriate student to instructor ratio for each class. This helps us ensure the safety of our students as well as providing each student with the best instruction possible.
